With a career that began back in the 1940s, Aho is a respected pioneer of Finnish colour photography and is known for her work in magazines, advertisements and book covers, as well as for her colourful portraits.
STUDIO Laura Laine: Ghosts sees an exhibition by the rising star Laura Laine consisting of her renowned life-size female figures. A fashion designer by education, Laine soon became carried away by the world of illustration and drawing, going on to contribute to international fashion magazines and having also drawn collections for famous fashion houses.

STUDIO Laura Laine: Ghosts
Possessing a hauntingly beautiful and delicate air, her predominantly black and white illustrations have been noted for their dark, eccentric and even Burton-esque feel. By utilising fine and detailed line work, Laine is able to suggest a great variety of different textures, further adding to the visual spectacle of her creations.
